To compound my cold and fever, Mumbai has been cold and dry for 2 days now. After 9 months here, living through all the heat and humidity, this should have been welcome, but it is not. Went to the datacentre today - again more chill.
Had a snacky dinner at a nice place close to home, called Koolar Cafe - near King’s Circle. They make the best cheese-topped omelettes. The coffee was also decent. And the decor is pre-independish, wooden chairs, table cloths and all. 2 dogs there as well, a retriever and a pinscher(this one is really fattened and blubbery). The proprieter is supposedly a jazz buff and an amateur singer. Maybe will chat him up sometime.
I have’nt really had the time to go deep into the Tolkien set I’d bought last weekend. Picked up a second hand book - Cold Mountain near my place, had read it earlier, but reading again. Watched a set of recorded champion’s league soccer matches till late last night. Juve scored a thumping 7-0 win.What else - hmm, have downloaded 2.6.0.bz2, will compile later tonight at home. KDE has been locking up at times in unstable, and does’nt even allow me to goto a terminal, so reset’s the only option. Maybe will look at that.
